Jeremiah “J.Otis” Otis, a dynamic music engineer and indigenous artist, is reshaping the music industry with 67 Records. Starting his journey in 2016 during a crisis in Fort Albany, ON, he used music to uplift his community. Despite personal trauma, he self-taught various music skills. Tragedy struck in 2018, inspiring his debut project, “Open Up Your Eyez.” Relocating to Toronto in 2019, he performed at Dundas Square. Acceptance into a post-secondary institution in 2020 led him to delve into music engineering. Founding 67 Records the same year, he mentors aspiring engineers and empowers marginalized voices, advocating for equity and opportunity. Through his relentless pursuit of change, he amplifies unheard narratives, epitomizing resilience.
