Hailing from Portmore, Jamaica, Alex “Lex MD” Anderson draws inspiration from both local and international musical influences, with a particular reverence for the legendary Bob Marley. Embracing a music-based version of the Hippocratic oath, Lex MD's "Music Oath" pledges to honor the legacy of his predecessors and promote knowledge, positivity, and fundamental goodness.
Lex launched his artistic journey in September 2020 when he transformed his passion for music into action. Lex MD debuted his first song, “Humanity,” in 2020 and his second in 2022, labelled “Modern Day Slavery.” Lex enjoys experimenting with genres and infusing each of his songs with reggae elements. His music represents his beliefs around what matters most to him: love and freedom to be your authentic self. Music is Lex MD’s way of sharing and cultivating love, and with love comes the power to heal the world.
