Meet The Fellows
Daniel Johnson
Portmore, Jamaica
Daniel “Johdan” Johnson specializes in creating sweet melodies laced with powerful lyrics. The Jamaican singer/songwriter and guitarist is currently studying Vocal Performance and Sound Engineering at the Edna Manley College for the Visual and Performing Arts.
Johdan marked his live debut in October 2022, mesmerizing audiences at the Grass Roots and Blankets concert held by the 8TheBand with his songs “Different” and “Wol a Vibe.” Johdan creates music intended to transcend generations and borders. His distinctive sound has a perfect balance of soulful R&B-infused dancehall with notes of reggae. He hopes to inspire the next generation to put themselves first, encouraging youths to believe in themselves, never settle for less, and to know that they are more than enough.
When not studying or creating music, Johdan can be found deep in the woods, on the beach, or hanging out with friends. As the youngest of three boys and raised in a single-mother household, Johdan is a family man and someone who also values his friends.
